Dr Holly Morgan is a Cardiology Registrar from Wales, UK.

Academic History

Holly is currently working on her PhD in cardiology at King's College London, where also obtained her Bachelor of Medicine (MBBCh). She is a Clinical Research Fellow ST5 in KCL’s School of Cardiovascular Medicine and Sciences.

Career Overview

Since 2013, Dr Morgan has been a Cardiology Registrar with the NHS. She has worked at various hospitals such as the Royal Gwent Hospital and the Newport and Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant.

She also worked as a cardiology trainee at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.

Dr Morgan is passionate about medical education and improving the internal medicine training experience. In 2015, she and a colleague won a grant from the Wales Deanery to set up an online platform for core medical trainees and went on to design and build the resource. This was rolled out to all medical trainees in Wales and has now been in place for years.^{1, 2}

In 2018, Dr Morgan became a new member of the Royal College of Physicians.³ She has been Chair of the Wales Deanery Trainee Think Tank, Joint Project Lead of 'The Core', a British Junior Cardiologists’ Association (BJCA) Wales representative and a representative of the Society of Physicians in Wales (SOPW) Executive Committee Training.¹
